Molte volte anche la RAI ha evidenziato che nella Locride, area della provincia di Reggio Calabria, vanta la presenza dell’associazione polisportiva dilettantistica accademia arti marziali Cavallo campione nazionale e internazionale. L’associazione, che ha sede legale a Caulonia, ha la propria squadra pluricampione nazionale e internazionale di arti marziali e kick boxing. Quest’anno la squadra ha vinto la Coppa Italia dikick jitsu, una forma completa e spettacolare di combattimento alla quale si aggiungono, ai colpi della kickboxing, proiezioni, leve e immobilizzazioni tipiche del ju jitsu, del pancrazio e delle altre lotte orientali in genere. Diretta dal maestro Giuseppe Cavallo, l’accademia, oggi è l’unico centro di avviamento allo sport del CONI, nel campo della kick boxing, della provincia di Reggio Calabria e l’anno scorso è stata premiata quale “Migliore società d’Italia” (premio consegnato con intervista fatta al maestro Cavallo da Marco Mazzocchi – giornalista RAI della Domenica Sportiva e da Antonella d’Elia). L’associazione, che ha sedi operative in vari centri calabresi (anche a Siderno, Cittanova ecc.), come si può evincere consultando il presidente del CONI regionale (prof. Praticò), il presidente provinciale (prof. Filocamo) o il resp. CONI del reggino (prof. Papa) l’associazione, con la conquista del titolo di campione d’italia e di diverse medaglie d’oro, argento e bronzo, in vari tornei nazionali e internazionali, risulta essersi classificata al secondo posto assoluto, nella graduatoria dei punteggi CONI 2004 – 2005, di tutte le associazioni calabresi di qualsiasi sport e federazione. Avendo ottenuto prestigiosi risultati è stata più volte premiata assieme al suo maestro e agli atleti da parte del CONI provinciale, regionale, dalla federazione e da parte di altri enti pubblici (Regione, Provincia, Comuni). L’associazione vanta sezioni della CONSAP della Polizia di Stato al proprio interno e qualche anno fa al maestro Cavallo è stato conferito il titolo di professore d’arti marziali dall’Unione Mondiale Arti Marziali e dall’ACSI – CONI. Egli ha già raggiunto il grado tecnico di cintura nera 7° DAN nel kempo ju jitsu e nel kajukido, ed è pure maestro riconosciuto dalle federazioni o enti CONI di: kick boxing ( 6° grado WAKO – FIKB – CONI si può consultare la sua presenza sull’albo www.fikb.it); JU JITSU (4° DAN FIJLKAM – CONI tradiz. e 5° DAN interstile Internazionale); KARATE(5° DAN); WUSHU – KUNG FU, KRAV MAGA (vedi sito IKMI), Pancrazio (vedi sito www.pancrazio.org. Il dr. Cavallo è , pure, specialista di wing chun, hapkido, aikijitsu e jet kun do, ed continuamente ospite, per parlare di arti marziali, di programmi RAI, di altre TV locali e nazionali e delle maggiori riviste e quotidiani. Già domenica scorsa è stato ospite di RAI 1 per parlare di Pancrazio che è la disciplina dalla quale sono nate tutte le altre arti marziali. Di arti marziali Cavallo ha parlato anche in occasione delle Olimpiadi di Atene intervistato accanto ad altri illustri personalità sportive come Meneghin ( per il basket) e Yuri Cechi (per la ginnastica). As it is deduced, also, from copies diplomas and articles enclosures I practise martial arts from almost thirty years. My first teachers have been my dead father and my uncle. I have already reached the technical degree of Black Belt 7° DAN in the kajukido and in the kempo ju jitsu, 6° DAN kick boxing recognized by the WAKO and ACSI - CONI and from various international federations of martial arts. I am, also, qualified teacher of: JU JITSU (5° DAN tradizional and 4° FIJLKAM CONI ITALY); KARATE(5° DAN); WUSHU - KUNG Fu (teacher of the team champion of Italy 2004 and deputy champion of Italy 2005). From years I study pure wing chun, hapkido, aikido and jet kun do, for a personal growth in the field. More times I'm guest of programs RAI and of martial arts, I have also spoken on the occasion of the Olympiads in Athens, interviewed nearby to other illustrious sporting personalities as Meneghin (for the basket) and Yuri Cechi (for the gymnastics). Currently I hold different charges, among which:
- TECHNICAL MANAGER OF THE ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL MARTIAL ARTS, PERSONNELL DEFENCE AND KAJUKIDO;
- MEMBER FOR LIFE OF VARIOUS PRESTIGIOUS INTERNATIONAL FEDERATIONS WHAT THE ALLIANCE WORLD MARTIAL ARTS AND OF THE BIG TEACHERS COUNCIL;
-NATIONAL RESPONSIBLE OF THE PERSONAL DEFENDED SECTOR, TRAINING OF ARMED FORCES AND OF THE POLICE OF THE FIWUK, THE ITALIAN FEDERATION OF WUSHU KUNG FU - CONI;
- NATIONAL RESPONSIBLE OF THE PROMOTION OF THE WUSHU - KUNG FU;
- REGIONAL RESPONSIBLE OF THE PERSONAL DEFENSE OF THE CONSAP POLICE;

Till to 2004 I was federal delegated of the kick boxing FIKB – WAKO ITALY and ju jitsu FIJLKAM ( federation Italian judo fights karate martial arts). I am teacher of the world champions of martial arts Asian- Chine and for the extraordinary gotten results (continuous victories, in the years 80 and '90 to various Italian championships. In December 2003, victory in the World Cup with the positions of my athletes from the first to the third place in the traditional interstile forms . In June 2004 absolute victory to the Italian championship or win of the "Badge" of the martial arts or conquest of the title of champion of Italy of wushu - kung fu, sector qinda. As in 2005 I have achieved the victory in the juvenile categories and the second absolute place of all the categories), I was awarded during the Comunal Council on purpose summoned from the Commune of Siderno and in an evening gala performance organized by the Commune of Caulonia. Besides, for the continuous successes achieved to the various national and international tournaments I was confered of other different recognitions from : comunal administrations (Placanica, Marina di Gioiosal etc.); Province of Reggio Calabria; agencies and sporting federations. Continually winning Italian championships in various disciplines, I am rewarded by every year in the Building of the Province of Reggio Calabria or in the Region of Calabria from the CONI (whose committee of Reggio Calabria is presided by the prof. Filocamo and the committe regional from the dr.Praticò).
